This 15metre by 3 metre wide courtyard is very Fremantle and with a Melbourne twist. The use of limestone, corten steel, copper and stone paving in a modern context, create a dynamic and exciting courtyard. The courtyard is visible from the second storey so careful attention was paid to the vertical design of the opposite wall, which is 7 metres tall. The design combines the beachy textures of the local materials with the industrial feel of the steel weldmesh climbing frames.
