Kings Park Apartment
A contemporary courtyard doubles as an entry and alfresco entertaining area for the owner of this ground floor apartment overlooking Kings Park. Despite the fact that this is a stylish well-structured garden, there is still room for herbs, citrus trees and chillies planted amongst the tropical plants. The use of Kimberly granite on the low horizontal water wall corresponds with the façade of the apartment block and the garden is home to two magnificent sculptures by Belgian artist, the late Jean Michel Folon. The large granite tablets were craned in, to create a floating angled horizontal surface over the water. These were lit from underneath to form a striking geometrical light feature to the tiled edge of the water reservoir.
